The first thing you may ask is “What Is A Cakesmash & Bathsplash?”
Well, it’s when your child smashes up a cake. Easy!
It’s so much fun, the session can last up to 1 hour, although some cake smashes are over and done by within 20 minutes. Every child is different, and some will be straight in there with hands covered in icing within 5 minutes, while others sit back and look at the cake and don’t always believe they are allowed to touch it and get messy.
It’s brilliant to see how every little person reacts. Once they know they are allowed to get as messy as possible that’s when the real fun happens. Seeing their little faces light up when they have two hands full of cake and are not sure what to do with it, can bring laughter or tears. Though we always hope for laughter! Cake smashes can bring out even the shyest child to create different photos of their personality. Depending on what colours you like we can source a backdrop that will fit in with your ideas. Please let me know any thoughts and we can get this to fit with your likes. I have amazing backdrops for boys and girls but just give me notice if you are looking for something different.

Every little person deserves colours that they want. I have different ideas, backdrops and balloons that you can pick from. A little chat about these gets the perfect Cakesmash & Bathsplash photos.
During the session
Cakesmash sessions can be really fast or really slow. If children are not keen on the sweet taste of cake I have a supply of fruit that we can add on top of the cake. Usually the first 20 minutes is when we get the best photos for a cakesmash. After this they can get a little restless and want to do something different. This is the best time to bring out the bath, clean all the cake away and let them splash and smile.
Different cake options
The cake of course is a bit thing for a cakesmash session. I work closely with a local cake maker who makes the most amazing tasty cakes. For the session fee of £65 this includes a naked cake – (a naked cake is the cake in the photos to the right). Popular and freshly made before your session. If you wish to have a bespoke cake this can be arranged at £85 (which includes cake and session) notice is needed for any session with these options.
Should you child have any dietary requests you can purchase/bring your own cake and you will only pay £40 for the session.
